26-5-2013 - A poor girl now studies in school due to PMUS

Ravina D/O Meena who lives in Panchkula, works in houses with her mother. Her father was expired and lives in rent house. Due to Purnima Mahila Uthan Samiti, she no more works in houses but studies in a school of Sector 15, Panchkula. Her books and other expenses are financed by PMUS.
On 26-05-2013, Frata Fan was given to her so that she can study well even in summers.

25-05-2013 - Awareness Program for school girls

A counselling was organized by our society in girl’s school in Hathwala Village. A program was organized to teach girls about self-safety. The village panchayat and the women also participated in the program. They were also taught about female foeticide and dowry system. PMUS is helping those who come to school from far.

20-5-2013 - Marching against rapism.

A girl was raped by a teacher in Frankla. PMUS has marched from Nehru Park to SDM Office and also written a letter to SDM, DC.

24-3-2013 - Making PMUS Online

A meeting is organized among the members of PMUS. The main objective of this meeting is to make PMUS online. Also, discussion about printing of banners and pamphlets that are important for PMUS was also held. Some money is need for website designing, banners and other stuff. So, it was decided that an amount of Rs. 40,000/- should be withdrawn to make it online. Sarv-samiti has also passed it.

9-3-2013 - Blood Donation Camp was organized. 70 units blood collected by PGI Rohtak.

Blood Donation camp was organized on 9th March, 2013. The camp was financed by the society. Donors have given 2 Bananas, 1 Apple, and 1 Glass Milk. 70 units of blood was collected by PGI Team Rohtak.

5000/- Rupees donated on a poor girls marriage.

An amount of rupees 5000/- was donated on the marriage of a poor girl of sirsa kheri village. This help was provided as per the request of Sarpanch Balvan. This money was spent on the food.

- Event on Female Foeticide on 1st September, 2012

An event on Female Foeticide was organized on 1st September, 2013. 7 Villages (Lijwana Khurd, Lijwana Kalan, Sirsa Kheri, Akaal Garh, Fatehgarh, Nandgarh and Meharda) were invited in the event. The Chief Guest of the event was Dr. Hrusikesh Panda (Additional Secretary of the Union Ministry of Panchayati Raj) It was also published in newspapers and left an image on a large number of villagers of the 7 villages. The program was organized by Smt. Luxmi Devi (Founder of PMUS).
Purnima Mahila Uthan Samiti is a society founded in 2012 for the welfare of Women. Its aim is to remove the roots of social evils affecting women like Female Foeticide, Domestic Violence, Dowry System, Female Education, Gender Discrimination etc.
